Microsoft to slow the pace of Dynamics ERP Releases and More… I refer to you Mary Jo’s article on this:http://blogs.zdnet.com/microsoft/?p=323
Dear readers, as for news on Microsoft, Mary Jo’s articles are a must read. Lynne Stockstad, (general manager of Microsoft’s Dynamics GP and Dynamics SL product lines) comments during an interview in
a) and now we are going to the same schedule as office is on…
b) we’ll be looking at something along the line of (a new release) every 24 months..
c) the next version of Office, code- named Office 14, is currently slated to ship in the first half of 2009
Dynamics GP 11.0 will ship around the same time, as will Dynamics SL 8.0. (It’s not 100 percent clear whether Dynamics NAV 6.0 will follow suit.) This is another clear signal of Microsoft’s commitment to retain it’s 4 ERP solutions (Ax, Nav, GP and SL) for some years to come and of course with the other major announcement this week i.e the new solutions; Dynamics client for Office and Sharepoint..
existing customers of Microsoft Dynamics (Ax, Nav, GP and SL) are the winners!!!!
